I have been trying to determine the p-anisidine value in heated sunflower oil according to the AOCS method Cd 18-90. However, when I add the p-anisidine reagent to the homogeneous oil solution in isooctane, phase separation takes place with the yellow color mostly in the lower layer. Appreciate your suggestions for ensuring the formation of a homogeneous solution that would give reliable absorbance readings.
