It probably depends on the bacteria strain people use. When I used the full-strength LB (liquid culture) to grow Agrobacterium LBA4404 strain (for plant genetic transformation), the bacteria did not grow well and some stringy white stuff (like 'dead' bacteria, but not sure) was observed in the culture. However, when I reduced the salt (5 g/L NaCl) to half, they grew well. This is my observation, but I don't know the reasons which cause it.
