Hi everyone! Fungi total RNA was extracted by mirVana miRNA isolation kit using total RNA extraction protocol, but the RNA profile shows a large portion of small RNA, which seems unlike a conventional profile. Same total RNAs were then extracted by two more others kits for comparison and they had the similar profile on 1% agarose gel. Have you once saw such kind of RNA profile and what's the possible reasons? Thanks very much!
Under stress conditions the concentration of small RNA increases usually as these provide useful role to combat stresses. Might be that would be the reason with your experiment too.

Thanks very much! Yes, there is no doubt that stress can influence organism's small species and amount. But I want to know If somebody have the experience on the similar Total RNA profile as mine.
