I was trying to extract protein from mouse cortex.

So after adding RIPA buffer and inhibitor cocktail to homogenize the cortex, I incubated it for 2hr, and then put them to centrifuge for 10min.

But then I got something black at the bottom as in the photo.

Is it some tissue left to be homogenized, or something else?
