I am analyzing RC beam in APDL and tried convergence criteria with F=0.05 once then U=0.05 and also tried both criterias simultaneously but what I found is my solution continuous even upto twice the ultimate load and thrice the ultimate deflection, and solution further continuous even exceeding the given ultimate compressive strength of concrete fc'=35.8N/mm2 and reaches 40N/mm2.
For ex., my experimental ultimate load and deflection was 97kN & 20mm respectively, but my analysis run continuously even up to a load of 140kN & def. Of 60mm. I don't understand what should be the reason for this. Please reply your kind suggestion and possible reasons for this difficulty.

What I understand from your convergence criteria is that you do not have upper limit for Fc which should be less than equal to 35.8 as per your concrete strength.and answer should be within plus minus certain tolerence limit of .05 so that calculations are terminated. In any case it ahold not be more than this limit but in your case this is also exceeded.

u can stop the run of program near the experimental loading (to get the verification) by several method as for as the tolerence limit of 0.05, such as:
1. the open and close cracks coefficients..
2. method of applied loading (direct load on nodes, pressure, etc..)
3. review the boundary conditions of your case.
4. several assume data may be change the divergence of solution.
