Both - Art and Science require about the same level of imagination , intelligence and creativity

Science is based on specific phenomena to show their truth, elements, origin, evolution, functions, relations and laws.

The arts are based on creativity. Innovations and technological inventions have been inspired by artists who have facilitated human lifestyles. Through arts, they measure the civilization and progress of peoples.

But can you explain?

Both are important.

I mean that art itself is a search for the meaning of life and our place in the universe. From the beginning everything was artistic, in that sense where art is the creative and intangible idea or imagination; different fields of science have evolved from this: astronomy, physics, mathematics etc.

I bring Isaac Asimov's story into the discussion.

Many jobs need the science part and the art part. Teachers and managers are good examples.

Science is hard skill and can be taught but art is soft skill that we are born with or learn it from life experiences. We get job with the science part and we keep it with our art of doing it.

According to various research studies, students who study the arts show improvement in their capabilities in other areas as well, including in the sciences, math and reading. Practicing the arts develop imagination, innovative thinking and creativity, thus adding value to non-arts academic outcomes as well.

Following the answers

Both arts and sciences gave the happiness to the life.

Science is what helps us understand things, and eventually do things. Art is what helps us have things worth doing. It's an important part of the human experience. Also, art can help us understand things, and science can help us do art.

Both are important. Art inspires the soul, mind and the heart and create an emotional response. While science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge using observation and experimentation to describe and explain natural phenomena.

Science is needed for critical thinking to solve problems and art is needed for creative thinking for innovation. Creative thinking could be enhanced by learning music, languages or travelling to new places. These activities could stimulate our brain by creating new neural networks where our knowledge " science" can search for new alternatives or solutions.

Art is life, art enables human beings to have sensitive insight towards all living beings, and to understand multiverse with sensitivity and logic.

Perhaps, we should not assume that art must necessarily be separated from science? What is art? At its core, art is being creative. Maybe we shouldn't assume this must be restricted to creative in painting, sculpture, music, dance, or drama? Maybe creative art also goes into building hypotheses in science, designing amazing experiments, and then exploring these ideas to see if they are real, or just fantastic mind games.

I might argue, it was pure, inspired art, that led Hippolyte Fizeau to build an experiment to measure the speed of light. Creativity at its best.

'Equivalence' of 'Art' & 'Science' via promotion of both is absolutely a subject of 'Liberty' of 'Thought' & 'Expression'

Art, Literature & Science are under global umbrella of 'UNESCO' w. r. t. global parameters via 'Vasudeva Kutubkum'

Both science and arts are important for the needed advancement in all sector of our economy.

I utterly agree with Dr. Ulf Friberg's submission that without arts there will be no science.

SCIENCE & ARTS are the twin areas where the growth development & culture work in uniforms .With this the development of scientific & technological development including electronic fast moving line which have now our world smaller place & mobility between the fast distance places become the history of the past .

Science as a mission working with the brain & making experiment in laboratory for the research program which is equally useful to the human beings

In this line the ART to move with the footsteps of science become awkward .

ART has sophistication brings  all round knowledge of the different areas for the human beings as a hole in the form of literature covering all the subject which human beings are interested ,anxious ,for their growth & development .To add the fragrance for the human beings ,painting ,music ,drama ,& such other related form of activities of her the creation of cultural environment .

With this we do not wish to place the important area of science in the backward seat .Electronic programming activities including computer,mobile ,DVD ,TV ,VIDEO GAME & such other forms make the family as one unit as  a program becomes the household entertainment .

Besides Mobile bring young generation to join in proximity with their far distance,friends & associated groups .This is equally one of the most important family & cultural associated group.

In this light we wish SCIENCE & ART should join both hand together.

Science is the art and common sense of application of maths, physics, chemistry, biology and their allied fields to solve the problems anthropogenically created by human beings.

Nature would anyway solve/adjust/clear its own problems. But whatever the problems/pollution human being as created using his knowledge, to solve/clear/counteract that common sense and art of application of basic sciences is required. Engineering boils down to basic sciences, arts, etc.
