Size of the quantum dots is 2.3 nm after attachment on glassy carbon substrate, the size drastically increased to 40 nm. but shape of the Quantum dots is retained.
is it due to aggregation?
In the case of ITO substrate it is due to multipoles induced on electrode surface.
is it applicable to glassy carbon substrate?
Can anyone clear my doubt please?

Aggregation or quantum dot clusters may be formed due to some physical or chemical interaction. Usually, the size of the quantum dots will not increased easily. how do you confirm the increased size?

by taking SEM average particle size increased to 40 nm after the attachment on GC substrate.
before attachment, the average particle size is 2.3 nm confirmed by HR-TEM analysis.
