hi every body I have modelling concrete beam reinforced with GFRP bar for pure torsion and when I apply load on lever arm of rigid steel plate it give me zero reaction in output why this is occur?
There are few possibilities here - one could be that support conditions would exist for the point where the load is acting, and or that the point of support is not moment-resistant; another could be that the bar has little to null torsional strenght. I suggest you check section properties e.g. polar moment of inertia, ensure that no support conditions specify at the point where load is acting while fixing the end where you expect reactions to balance external loading.
Do not specify any type of support that prevents the rotation of the member - as otherwise, the support would take the external action therefore preventing the rigid member from resisting any load.
