When I am adding some sentence from my published paper to an unpublished manuscript, the journal Editor always comment that my manuscript is in the category of plagiarism. I am facing problem when I am quoting few sentence of some author citing their as Reference still it is falling in plagiarism. Some time common word and verbs are referred as plagiarism. Can someone suggests how I can overcome this problem?

I think the results of computer-based check is not accurate. The editor should check the "red-sentence"
My advice is not to copy-paste (even when referring to references).
If you do copy-paste you should put the sentence inside quotation mark " ".
In addition, try to read the paragraph and re-write it from your perspective.

Exactly. This do happens. The program should have more control, rather than by just picking up verbs... Make no sense.
For general opinion, in order to avoid it at author side, i agreed with M.I. Younis. If you have you to write the exact words, mark it with quotation mark. Still i advised to cite that sentence too. Otherwise, read the paragraph once or twice and re-write it in your own words. It will help in solving some of these issues.
One case is to have a plagiarism check from university/college you are affiliated with before sending to editor, atleast you can have more access on the process in your institution.
@Atiqa: How do you stop your mind remembering the idea you read once or twice, and re-write it in you own words, without using the idea in the paragraph?
TRY TO REWRITE IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE WITHOUT CHANGING THE MEANING

Hey, Guys! Paraphrasing is not a prophylactic against plagiarism charges. If you paraphrase, then you still have to cite your source!
The sources of equations, tables, figures also have to be admitted to through your references.
Minor Changes to sentences ( normally from present verb to past verb) and put the references. This is very common in related work or literature review writing.

I think copying whole passages from a dissertation, thesis, book, article, or Website without citing or acknowledging the author is plagiarism. I suggest to consider the word "whole", other should not be considered as plagiarism.
I totally agree with Ian on this. After years of chairing a university discipline committee I can tell you that plagiarism is the most common offense and that, after simple cut and paste, paraphrasing is the second most common form of that offense. While an editor may wish to see an idea rewritten in your own words he/she will still wan't to see acknowledgement of the source of the idea. The way to avoid plagiarism is through citation of the original.
