I did antifungal disc diffusion test on Candida albicans and even I have repeated this test many time. However, the control positive (fluconazole) gave negative result. I used newly bought antibiotics disc, but the result was still negative. I used PDA for this test, incubate at 37 degree celsius for 24 hours. This is my first time the result turned out to be like this. Does it means that the antibiotic already resistant? Or should I shorten the time of incubation? Or maybe change of the agar? Need opinion from the expert very urgent. Thanks in advance.
