Unfortunately this is true especially when you want to care for others. I started writing a book 2 years ago, but because of i will start or continue tomorrow, i just discovered i Unconsciously abandoned it. Thank you for this discussion. My question is, should i feel guilty if i put myself before anyone else?
Perhaps because the subconscious mind likes to stay in the (comfort zone)
-Your subconscious mind makes you feel emotionally and physically uncomfortable whenever you attempt to do anything new or different or to change any of your established patterns of behavior.
Two things in your nice topic of discussion: 1) Procrastination (negative): which is a sort of instinct disease of the human psyche and we all should always try to get rid of it. But, only a few percent of people can win over it and they shine appropriately within their deserved time. 2) Giving priority of others over ownself (positive): is an extraordinary trait and should be desired by all to inculcate within us as you've already achieved it to a greater extent which is encouraging for us. Best of luck.
Morgen, morgen, nur nicht heute, sagen alle faulen Leute
(German poet Christian Felix Weiße, 1766).
I, like everyone else, got used to the fact that everything is done "tomorrow" (domani, zajtra, demain, mañana, завтра...) at best, or even the day after tomorrow. Therefore, when one day I lost internet connection and I called the service, I thought about how to live a few days. After 10 minutes, I accidentally looked out the window and saw a repairer sitting on a pillar and delving into a connection box ... It was one of the most severe shocks in my life ...
They can’t do this to people - these one lose respect for the sacrament of the profession.
By saying I will do it tomorrow we allow ourselves to relax today. It makes us feel like we do not have to worry about it now and our future self will be responsible enough to do it tomorrow even though most of us know we will not.
