Why low melting point elements reduce and refine grain size?

It is understood that high melting point elements (B, Zr, Nb, Ta, Hf etc) reduce the grain size mainly because they form solidification centers during cooling.

However sometimes low melting point elements like Ga, Ge also refine and reduce the grain size. I am searching for the reasons.
