I am simulating a cantilever beam on which a uniform pressure acts. I conduct a harmonic analysis such that the forcing frequency varies. The beam tip displacement is measured using ANSYS and compared with those obtained using a code in MATLAB. They do not match well. The response obtained from ansys seems unsymmetrical(low values at low frequencies) and the resonant frequencies do not match. Please see attached plot.
I am using the "Full-solution" method. What am I doing wrong ? Your help is deeply appreciated.
Did u perform a modal analysis of cantilever beam and checked if the natural frequencies are in agreement with theoretical values??
ANSYS plot seems more realistic, the frequency response does not have to be symmetric about the resonant frequency. You may refer to the following article, which uses ANSYS for a similar case.

It might be the problem of meshing. If it is composite beam then you should define proper contacts.
