I make explicit analysis using abaqus. I enter input mesh seed 250 mm .After I enter input mesh seed 100 mm abaqus doesnt completed analysis. What is the reason of this?
Personally never worked with Abaqus, but worked with ANSYS explicit finite element analysis. Basically what might cause a finite element analysis to stop in this case is the density of mesh that you define. When the density increases, then you need larger computational resources (memories) to be able to do the high-density mesh analysis. You may keep the mesh less dense in the expense of less accurate result, if you don't have a machine with higher RAM.
Hi Ömer Polat. The reason maybe because at higher mesh densities, the element distortion would be greater, this probably causes non convergence of the solution. I suggest improving the mesh quality.
I would suggest checking a total number of nodes because it can happen that, depending on which licence do you have, the total number of nodes exceed the limit.
