Why is the absorption peak of collagen doesnt appear on PLA/PCL/PMMA/Collagen?

Greetings! I have made an electrospun membrane with PLA (~ 65.000 mW) maximum transmittance of spectra 60 %, PCL (80.000 mW) maximum transmittance of spectra 90%, PMMA (350.000 mW) with maximum transmittance of spectra 96,5 %, and Collagen (unknown mW) with maximum transmittance of spectra 40%. So, the problem is I dont find absorption peaks of collagen on biocomposite of PLA/PCL/PMMA/Collagen. Is there any possibility that this problem happen because of the molecular weight of PMMA way higher than Collagen?

I am not sure what technique are you using, it you intend to see this signal by FTIR. Remember that the bond you are looking for should be between 2-5% of the sample, so if you have to little and a really heavy PMMA it might be screened.
