Why is nanowire better than thin film in piezoelectric nanogenerator?

Hello. I have a question that:

Why is nanowire is superior than thin film in piezoelectric performance as nanogenerator?

The superiority of nanowire is from the dimension(1-D)? or any other principles?

I agree with Prof Braun. The material morphology and geometry are all dependent on the nature of impetus and other external conditions. Unless the experimental parameters are defined, the effect of material geometry cannot be estimated.
