I am working on modelling of a U shaped RC shear wall. When I am applying a simple cyclic displacement load as BC, loading seems to ignore the cyclic variation and act monotonically as ramp load of magnitude equal to displacement value at last time of amplitude table. Please have a look into the attached excel file.
I have applied no other monotonic load except for this cyclic load and fixed end BC. And I am modelling simply for elastic material properties first. Please inform me if you need any other info regarding my model.

I was not able to read the CAE file, but I used your jnl file to recreate the model. I think you need to change your STEP incrementation. Currently you are solving the analysis with a time step sequence that has a total time equal to 1.0 and an initial time increment that is 1.0. Abaqus will therefore solve the problem in a single time step and thereby miss the need for the amplitude. I suggest you request an "Initial increment size" of 0.1 and a !Maximum increment size" of 0.1 (see figure attached). The model will then be forced to solve the problem in time increments 0.1 and it will step through the amplitude card you defined.
