Another important notion Kerry highlights is the need for organisations to focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR). Though CSR is a notion that has been there for some time, its significance appears to remerge with a vengeance (availability of a number of social media platforms that reach out to masses effectively generating positive/negative images of organisations could be the main reason) in the recent past demanding organisations to focus beyond their profit margins as social organisations. In fact, as Kerry put forth, CSR could begin with organisations paying due attention to the well-being of their employees who themselves are members of the broader society.
