Different regions of the world are characterized by different climates and even if they have the same climate, there is often some change in the rain pattern and temperature let’s say weather. According to me and based on literature I have read so far, this variation of carbon among same species growing in different areas could be explain by the variation of ecological condition not only the weather, but the plant communities and the substrate (soil properties). To me, this phenomenon is like species growth. In different area even under the same climate, same species have different growth rate. I am thinking also about genes, because even among the same species, genetics differences could lead to modifications in the ability of individuals to sequester carbon.
The reason why sequastration rate is different even in the species is simply because of the amount of sun illumunation of particular region. This is because plant absorb the sun shine for photosynthesis process. Another reason is the soil type and mineral contents beneath the soil that plant use to grow. It is also very much related to the specific wood density of particular sepcies.
Carbon sequestration depends on tree biomass. The tree biomass is determined or characterized by the growth. Since the different regions differ in edaphic, climatic and various other factors, therefore affects the tree growth.
carbon sequestration depend on the ability of the plant species to perform photosynthesis also depends on weather, ecological and environmental conditions such as pollution and increase of some elements in soil that may effect the ability of plant to sequester carbon
Dear, carbon stocks depends upon soil bulk density and total biomass. If you have have high biomass, he would have high carbon stocks. Further, site factors determine the rate of growth and biomass production.
