From the papers what I have read most people simply say that the capacitance increased with N doping. Main reason could be increased wettability (Depends on What type of N doped to Carbon). But what is the accurate explanation in electrochemistry for this? Graphene or CNT is SP2 hybridised, so has a lone P electron. But for N all the P orbitals are half full and quite stable. What is the actual reason for the increase in capacitance?

Thanks
