I plan to do ELISA, GSH, and NO assay from mice hippocampus. However, because of limited tissue, I can't homogenise tissue according to different protocols. By doing some literature, below is the protocol I have decided on and it requires an expert opinion. If possible, a few references too.

50 mM Tris-150 mM NaCl buffer (pH 7.5) with 10% protease inhibitor cocktail sonicated for 30 seconds with a probe sonicator (40% amplitude) and centrifuged at 2,000 x g for 10 minutes.

I would appreciate any recommendations.
