so I guess if there is no suffix, it means that this mature miRNA originates only from one arm,as it is possible to see from the hsa-miR-3687 sequence in mirbase, where only one sequence is highlighted in violet, sequence of the mature mirna. Hope this helps!

Yes, miR-3687 is processed from the 3' portion of the stem loop, so it could be considered a "-3p" if there were evidence for both arms. 3687 does not appear to be an abundant miRNA, and there's even less evidence for a mature "-5p" counterpart. Note that the relative abundance of -3p and -5p is different from one miRNA stem loop to the next.
