I'm using 7.5 mL 18 mM CaCl2; 117.5 mL 0.063% Alginate; 25 mL chitosan 0.04%. I've tried it with 800 rpm and 13000 rpm; CaCl2 + Alginate (60 min); CaCl2-Alginate + Chitosan (90 min). It form an aggregate under gravity after 1 day of formation.
I 'd suggest you to explore 1) sonication, 2) variation of pH, 3) ratio of CaCl2 alginate/Chitosan
Simply you did not prepare any nanoparticles but just very large complex coacervates that sediment under gravity.
Kindly permit me to ask: did you dissolve your chitosan in ethanoic acid, Nindya? If you didn't, I suggest you first do that before using it.

Hi, I think I have tried that method as well, it just formed aggregations. try lower concentration of alginate and chitosan, I am using 0.6mg/ml of alginate and 0.3mg/ml of chitosan. Hope it helps:)
