I hope you could help me out with this, because it is becoming very annoying when taking my measurements.
I am using a VNA to measure the S12 of a ferromagnetic sample, very thin (0). It happens around 1.75 GHz (between 1 and 2 GHz), and in contrast to the FMR, remains in the same position when I increase external B field. It is driving my postprocessing data a little crazy.
Does anyone have any idea why is this happening? What is the origin of this resonance?

S12 defines transmission from port 2 to port 1.
If you do one-port measurements, you need only S11 parameter. If you do two-port measurements, you need measure four parametrs: S11, S12, S21, S22. But you can compare S12 and S21.If your network is reciprocal then S21 = S12. If your network symmetrical then S11 = S22. And You need measure only S11 and S21, for example.
If you would analyze S11 and S21, may be this peak exists due to some reflections. And this peak is not FMR. FMR is accompanied with the losses. You can value some losses of your sample with using P = 1 - |S11|2 - |S21|2 and so on. In any case you need analyze at least two complex parameters S11 and S21.
