Is any specific sample preparation required to perform VSM measurement of NdFeB alloy powder to get a square-shaped M-H loop? Or is it mandatory to make magnetically aligned and sintered pellets or powder mixed with wax or resit and aligned in a magnetic field to get a square-shaped M-H loop?

if the particles are not physically stabilized, there will be a chance for the physical rotation of the particle to the external field to align with that. If so, there is a chance it will easily attain saturation and show a soft ferromagnetic kind of M-H loop.
