Hi, I am infecting fibroblasts with a lentivirus expressing a protein that is not related to pathway involved in response to exobiotic. Thus, I wouldn’t expect the cells to have increased sensitivity to antibiotic selection. However, cells infected with empty plasmid almost don’t die while cells infected with my protein are almost all dead. For information, selection is done with blasticidin and non infected cells just start to die by the time that my infected cells are all floating. Have you ever come across this problem and do you have any suggestion? Thank you
