I have used different temperature programs in GC but each time all four particles ( solution of ethanol, chloroform, isopropanol, and butanol that were diluted in water ) were just in the same peak, also I have used the isothermal situation, but the peaks were not separated.
What is the exact type of your instrument (type of your injector and detector) and column parameters, what is your recently exact setup of oven and injector?
Unfortunately, the methods are also highly dependent on the GC design and the capillary column used.
Depending on whether you are using a split/splitless, PTV, Cold on Column or headspace injector, the injector settings will be completely different.
The boiling point difference among the materials is about 50 degrees Celsius, so it would be easy to try a temperature trap, but to estimate the parameters you would need to know the type of capillary column, length, film thickness, carrier gas type and velocity, and injector type.
