I did an analysis of a protein on AUC and did a sedimentation velocity and equilibrium experimetn. after acquiring the data, I stored in in a USB stick and tried to run it on Sedfit. I'm currently using a MAC and I've isntalled parallels onto the PC just so its easier to use sedfit to analyse my data. when I upload my files onto sedfit (120 runs) the program crashed and closed. it doesn't do that when I only upload 20 runs though... any ideas?
I think Sedfit explicitly said to be used under Windows environment. Perhaps it is better to run Sedfit to analyze your own data to make sure that your AUC data are okay.
What should i consider to get a good fits for Sedimentation velocity data using SEDFIT
I am a beginner in analyzing Sedimentation velocity data, i know from reading papers that the quality of SV fits depends on both the root-mean-square deviation (rmsd) and the Z-value and they should not exceed 0.005 and 0.7, respectively. And i have read recent study demonstrating that the histogram of residuals must be higher than 1 to get good fits.
