I am using a pneumatic calendaring machine from a popular manufacturer. The unit of pressure is mentioned in N/mm rather than N/mm2. I assumed that the point of contact of the roller with the electrode is a line so they have mentioned it in mm. If that is the case, I will get different pressure and resulting density for different electrode layer width or am I getting it wrong? Any hints will be very helpful. Thank you.

Dear Ruediger Rentsch, May be automatic calendaring machine sounds misleading. I have to calendar an electrode to decrease the porosity and to attain a particular density. I have tried using Table calendaring machine (uses pneumatic pressure). The machine takes (Druck Pressure (N/mm), Speed of calendaring(mm/min), Temperature of roller(degree)) as input. If I use different width electrode, the attained density is different for the same material. I want to know whether this pressing paramater is what I am getting wrong!

I am sorry for the lack of knowledge on this Topic. As mechanical Engineer the term calendar machine for a rolling device was somewhat unconversant to me.
