I found that some immunofluorescent image of lamin A/C is a “filled“ oval shape, as shown in the first and second attached photo (from https://www.scbt.com/p/lamin-a-c-antibody-346 and https://www.thermofisher.com/antibody/product/Lamin-A-C-Antibody-clone-mab636-Monoclonal/MA3-1000, respectively)
On the other hand, some figures show a distinct “hollow” ring shape. As shown in the third and fourth photo. (from https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/mm/mabt1341?lang=en®ion=HK and https://www.biocompare.com/Product-Reviews/335096-Great-anti-Lamin-A-C-antibody-for-immunofluorescence/, respectively)
The point is that the two shapes can be found even using the same antibodies from the same supplier (like the ThermFisher MA3-1000), which makes me really confused.
Will it be due to the different microscopy methods used in capturing those shots? Does the preparation procedure affect? Or it is because of other reasons?
Thanks a lot.
