In an IPF color map, the color is interpreted using the legend key to find the type of 'Crystal Direction' aligned with a sample direction. A IPF map does not give the complete detail about the 'crystal orientation' at a point. Whereas, in an all Euler angle map, the three Euler angles are scaled to Red/Green/Blue color components, and this can be a valid 'Crystal Orientation Map'. So, is it not a misnomer to refer IPF map as 'Crystal Orientation Map'?
