Versatility of thinking is an important trait - and this is an undeniable fact. In short, these days businesses are developed by creative leaders, personalities. Inventive thinking is well addressed by practicing an interdisciplinary approach in any field. Take STEM, for example. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education is a model that integrates science and engineering subjects into a single system. How an individual in such areas of the profession without inventive thinking will be able to develop it. Not to mention the evolutionary necessity of humanity nature.
By the way, creative thinking, inventive thinking, according to the classical theory of human development differs significantly from one individual to another individual (June, 1936; Marston, 1947). There are even opinions about some functional doom (fate) (Teplov, 1957; Hunzen, 1972). Which means not every individual is so capable of possessing the desired ability. However, when an individual plays his/her natural role in life according to that concept, he/she is capable of accomplishing much, but only in this very natural functional part.
