Sometimes when I eating an apple, I feel that the the lower part (blossom) of the apple more sweeter, whereas the upper part (middle to top) is often more watery and feels less sweet than lower part. Please provide me logic. Thanks in advance.
I am little bit confused because when I eat mango, I notice that the upper part of mango is more sweeter than lower part and it is opposite of apple@Catherine M G C Renard. Thank you for your discussion.
From my point of view , Because this part is ripen before the rest of the parts as a result of the transformation of carbohydrates into simple sugars by the ethylene released by the seeds, which are close to the base part of the fruit
