I am using the B6;129S6-Chattm2(cre)Lowl/J mouse from Jackson and crossing it to B6.129X1-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(EYFP)Cos/J, and while I see beautiful expression of YFP in the spinal cord, I see fewer cells than expected in sympathetic ganglia. I have seen this with other markers/proteins of interest, and can only assume the regulatory elements at work in these ganglia differ to those elsewhere in the enteric and central nervous systems. I am at a loss to explain what could be going on in these mice, where Cre activity should be occurring in all cholinergic neurons. Has anyone had a similar experience, with any Cre lines?
