Hi!
Recently started using a new genotyping kit for PCR and all of a sudden started seeing non-specific bands on the gel. At first I thought contamination, but I've tried all new primers and master mix three different times and still see the same results. Also, all of the products seem to have positive signals. The negative also shows a positive band. However, when I use my old genotyping kit this same negative does not show a signal. Even my NTC (no template control) is showing non-specific bands, but no signal. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
if you want to confirm that the contamination is not persent in your reagents once try this::
prepare agarose gel and run each and every reagent including molecular grade water in gel and see bands are present or not. if contamination is present in reagents you would be able to short out this.
