When observed ,Why most of the biscuit or cookie packaging cover have glittering coating(like silver or aluminium foil ) given inside it ?

The above mentioned packaging film is Metallized Polyethylene Terephthalate , The widely used metal in the film is Aluminium.
*when PET films are laminated with metal foil it will increase the film’s oxygen- water barrier & block out UV rays
*metallized films for flexible packaging are essential when the product requires extra protection to ensure a longer shelf life
*MET PET provides protective properties for food items requiring restricted visibility.
There are more varieties of packaging films were used in the food industries according to the type of the foods or snacks. Aim of all the packaging films is meant to protect the food items from different chemical, biological, and physical conditions such as exposure to gases , moisture and from crushing.
Most widely used packaging materials are LDPE, (Linear Low Density Polyethylene – LLDPE), HDPE ,Polypropylene, Polyethylene Terephthalate(Metallized Polyethylene Terephthalate: MET-PET) and Nylon Polyolefin.
