When we are estimating the hydrolysable capacity to different organic P compounds by the action of phosphatases,  we consistently found that acid phosphatase are more efficient than alkaline phosphatase in hydrolysing relatively resistant organic P compounds like phytin and lecithin but there efficiency is at par with alkaline phosphatase in hydrolysing easily degradable organic P compounds like glycerophosphates. What are the possible reasons for that?
