I am looking for a good (IF 5+) journal to publish some of my data with a strong focus on the methods applied. However it is not a strict methodological manuscript.

You can try BMC biology (IF 7.5). This journal proposes methodology articles.

Nature Methods main focus on methods and requires a significant amount of data to back up your method.
