What characterizes a low grade Chondrosarcoma on MRI besides enhancement on MRI?
size! >3cm is considered suspicious. We recommend biopsy at 3cm or larger for pathologic examination. Both enchondroma and chondrosarcoma may enhance.
Size does indeed matter, we curet above 5 cm, cortical scallopping or with rapid enhancement < 12 seconds. Biopsy has not yet proven its true value in these lesions, as sample error may occor.
