Like the Hippocrates oath for medicine, Karl Marx put down a utopian formula for humankind for all ages, even perpetuity. To understand Marx, a mind as broad and deep as an ocean with an intellect as sharp as a scalpel and an empathetic outlook that makes poverty of philanthropy is required. Those who lack such sterling qualities but are enamoured with the concept of Marxism generate garbage. This is the component of human nature, the variation between individuals. While all of us think we can comment upon democracy or Marxism or any form of principle in any form of our existence, there are very few amongst us who truly grasp the issue.

An intellectual is one who can read between the lines and separate the dross from the gloss, besides other qualities.

The proletariat does not understand politics, religion, economics, preventive medicine, finance, environment, science, population control, water economics, warming of the Earth, states and their cradle-to-grave policies and a whole host of many other features of life. And religion and spirituality.

Because of the working class (blue collar), who outnumber by far those that use the intellect, religion has become by far the most divisive and explosive force faced by humankind. For the working class, spirituality does not exist. The working class (blue collar) fervently believe in Heaven and Hell, work and pray hard to make places of pilgrimage viable economically as also temples, mosques and churches and their protagonists and priests wallow in riches and privileges, appease God by their offerings including human sacrifices, believe that God speaks only their own language, and virulently embrace the concept of "them" versus "us", with their own regional version accepted blindly as the unvarnished immutable truth. They make democracy what it is today in advanced countries and the developing or poorly developed countries, some of latter being resource-rich and politically managed hopelessly by force or other many forms of chicanery. They do not think, and, if they think at all, their thinking is a primal musical beat, laced with the physical, and closer to lower primates and more basic issues of living and dying.

What the working class (blue clollar) understands is copulation, sodomy, masturbation, procreation, food tobacco and other stimulants, alcohol, the 'left' hand of God, mysticism of again a lower level for sheer gratification. In one word, the working class (blue collar) knows instant gratification like the upper class that knows instant coffee.

There is a time and place for every experiment, as my ignored work in migraine over the last three decades--that affects one-fifth of humankind--clearly defines. Marxism is not a system of governance, it is a way of thinking. The "experiment" was not designed for Communist States that took up the cudgel for Marxism, hiding in its folds the insatiable desires of an elite group -- the PARTY -- to rule to perpetuity.

Human history for two millennia is very short. A time will come again for the "experiment", when the ills of democracy and the dance of democracy (or mobocracy) through elections will be apparent to all. Marxism failed due to the lure of power, the maddening and madding thrust for power, the failure of justice to keep pace, the failure of benevolence to go beyond religion with minds fixed below the belt or the groin... It is just ~ 400 years since Lincoln defined democracy in a lopsided way: folly of the people, folly by the people, folly for the people. Philosophers in democratic citadels bemoan that the peoples of democracies deserve to be kicked well where it hurts by electing the Governments that they do by casting their votes.

The crumbling of the USSR into its current composition tested agape and the pseudo-Marxism that existed as nothing else had done before. That was a time where the Soviet cradle-to-grave system collapsed completely, and a time when several generations just did not know how to cope, a time when the young were forced into the oldest profession known to humans. I watched, as a young Medical Officer in Dubai Police, United Arab Emirates, posted regularly to the Female Prison, with horror and consternation and distress and helplessness, as waves of lovely young Russian ladies rounded up by the Police Force while earning bread for their families back in devastated homes (some young enough to be my daughters) were brought to me by the prison staff for medical treatment for trivial reasons. They came to see eyes that did not mock them and listen to a voice that did not dismiss them or their attempts to converse with the doctor -- visual and aural warmth. Omar Shariff, in Dr. Zhivago (David Lean) portrayed the misery of distraught doctor, husband, poet and lover in equally ghastly times in an earlier Czarist era in Russia, and, Schindler's List (Steven Spielberg) is the saga of a saviour caught up in so-called pseudo-Marxism that the Fuhrer promised to an innocent and misled nation but raped and ravaged Jews in Poland.

For Marxism to thrive, United Nations has to crumble and existing political concepts have to be slashed or smashed to smithreens. The UN is actually a mismatched body of DIVIDED NATIONS, each proclaiming an individuality by division of the land and the water that constitutes the Earth.

Poems can express extant reality in a manner that reams of prose cannot.

Carrying on with my question, an intellectual is one who has found something more interesting than sex/seduction/intercourse, besides other features.

Like the bee colony and the queen bee, not all humans or blue collar workers can be leaders or leader material. It is the leaders who have to be considerate for all classes, to not be despots and not promote genocide of a certain class (usually the upper class, who seem to have a monopoly over thinking), to not promote the self and the personal family, to promote and give justice for all, to curb and eliminate all forms of ostentatious displays by the so-called upper classes, to balance resource allocations away from urban to rural areas, to prepare for natural disasters as if personally affected, to promote healthcare while limiting the involved industries to direct science to make stratospheric profits for few, to care for Earth and its denizens rather than the Moon or Mars or other planets of the solar system, to avoid foolish cold wars and proxy wars or business wars, to limit the role of artificial intelligence and of robotic influence, to eliminate the superstitions of aliens, to be aware that transmutation of matter and levitation is a real science as of today in the hands of those who have seen other dimensions...There is no leader with these qualities at present.

But a time will come, a sensibility will dawn, an era will undergo the pangs of birth...and the art of the possible will emerge from the deep woods of the callous world of today to heal the calluses of the past. Marxism is a rebellious idealized rather crude first version of a society structure that was futuristic, certainly not designed for the twentieth Century of its nearabouts, certainly not designed for the me-also or the me-only society of today and the past. It edges the Homo Sapien to do what it was designed for by Nature: to think for others and all, to not use the crutch of religion to form diverse groups and governance frameworks, to empathize for one and all, to use a superior cerebration for the evolution of a different era...

Such an era is predicted, by those who can see through Time and Space by a clairvoyance given to only a few that qualify, to emerge in the 12th millennium and to last till the 25th millennium, when the restless self-destruct innate mode of the Homo sapien would create turbulence anew...

I continue further on the description of an intellectual:

The priority for an intellectual is to gain knowledge and to seek truth, scientific and spiritual, not just a degree or a tenure. Some of Einstein's quotes, if read between the lines, bring pure spiritual joy to the intellectual.

The intellectual, like Socrates, values non-material aspects over material features of life. If employed someone like Elon Musk, the joy of seeing her/his mathematical calculations succeed in placing a large object in orbit around Earth or Mars, floods the intellectual while the fiscal part to the self is far, far secondary.

Intellectuals are born as such, with the push from the past and pull from the future, and cannot be created in the school, the laboratory, by the grant, or by the Institute (Aldous Huxley, Alexis Carrel). (see attached file)
