Dear all,

I am working on the pure bending of SMA beams nowadays. For verification of the results, I am using a UMAT code. when the nonlinear geometry option of ABAQUS is off, I can get the results. However, turning on this option, the model is not converged.

while one end of the beam is Encaster, I am unsing interaction module to tie the other end of the beam and impose my moment at its reference point.

The question is:

How can I change my model, especially boundary conditions, to capture the nonlinear effect?
