Cuscuta is a genus of about 100–170 species of yellow, orange, or red (rarely green) parasitic plants. Some species/varieties of them (for particular crop like cow pea, sorghum etc) are more aggressive so, use of that selective genotype could give better results (haustoria formation) on stem of non-susceptible host.
