Hi. I think if you transform your data to ordinal (e.g., efficient/inefficient), you can run a chi square for independence with two categorical variables each having five levels.

I will try what you have suggested.

You can use ANOVA and Chi square to comparatively evaluate data from different populations (here two villages). You can use MINITAB or SPSS easily for your analysis.

You could do statistical analysis, but you could also do a life-cycle-assessment in order to compare the water use efficiency of two villages.

I was searching for tests other than Chi because some of the cells had less than 5 frequency.

I read up on CCA and it seems very useful, especially since I am working with multiple factors affecting the WUIs.

I am also running t-tests for the WUIs of the two villages as well. 

You may use Carl Fishers t-test to compare the WUE of two villages.
