I am trying to do experiment with mixing PEDOT:PSS and silver nanowire(AgNW). However, when I search the product of AgNW, it is produced with solvent such as ethanol, water, and IPA. And I found that PEDOT:PSS can be dissolved by DMSO, IPA, and water.
So which solvents might affect to the PEDOT:PSS during the experiment? And which solvent might be fit for mixture of PEDOT:PSS and AgNW?
Any suggestion or comment is welcome.
the solvents you have mentioned above affect the electrical (hole) conductivity of PEDOT:PSS. from the solvents you have mentioned DMSO will improve the electrical conductivity of PEDOT:PSS the most from 3s/cm to around 1000 s/cm. ethanol and IPA will also improve it a a less extent. The solvents are fully miscible with PEDOT:PSS so you should be able to form a composite mateiral if you mixed the AgNW within which ever of those solvents with PEDOT:PSS.
The intrinsic solvent for PEDOT:PSS is water so if you do not want to improve electrical condctvity you should buy the AgNW dissolved in water then if you are intending to see the effects of the AgNW (improved conductivity) then that's the best way
