I don't know which pH indicator is suitable for RT-LAMP. I have warmstart Lamp Kit E1700 for setting up this molecular assay but it is necessary to have a visual indicator for the end of this process. Some of publications proposed phenol red and some of them cresol red. Now I don't know which one can be more efficient and is there any better offer or not.

Hi Razieh, here below is the link to the original Warmstart colormetric assay paper where they tried various dyes. There are several dyes which are suitable such as Phenol Red, m-Cresol purple, m-cresol Red, but ultimately they incorporated the phenol red dye in to their final kit. Bear in mind you might struggle acquiring a colour change by simply adding phenol red to the mixture as (to my knowledge) there is a internal buffer in the warmstart 2x mastermix which prevents the pH to change sufficiently during amplification to cause a colour change.

We examined at least 3 metal indicator for visual detection of LAMP assay with warmstart mastermix 1700. the best one was HNB.
