T-DNA has two boarder sequence namely LB and RB. In case of Agrobacterium mediated transformation, which of this boarder area gets into the plant cell first? Also, which part are less prone to degradation, LB or RB?
The transfer of T-DNA into plant genome is initiated from the right border (RB) and terminated at the left border (LB). However, the T-DNA can be truncated (not intact), and in theory, the truncation will be more often to occur at the LB site.
