I am planning to administer drug ICV in mice. I saw a JOVE video describing a way to do this without a stereotaxic device. In the procedure, the research used mirrors to position the injection site and a parafilm wrapped syringe to control injection depth. It appears they are using a Hamilton style syringe with a short beveled 26G needle. The needle is not removable from the syringe, so it also seems likely they use the syringe & needle more than once. Would anyone who has done this procedure provide information on what needle and syringe is used?

I'm also curious about the mirrors. Is there a suppler that makes mirrors suitable for this procedure or are these mirrors a DYI project?
