Is there a detergent which removes endotoxin efficiently and also reduces DNA/Protein loss?
For proteins, instead of using detergent, why not using strong anion exhange cartridges?
They bind endotoxin, and working at the right pH (see protein isoelectric point), they do not bind proteins
We do that. But at times the protein of our interest binds to the matrix and doesn't elute out. To elute the protein, we then need to use different buffers which results in a heavy loss. Is it possible for you to suggest a good resin that doesn't come with such problems.
Did you try instead of resin strong anion exchange filters, such as Q filters from sartorius? (there should be named Sartobind)?

Endotoxin can be removed with three possible mechanisms:
1. Affinity based : Affi-Prep Polymyxin resin from Bio-rad

2. Charge based : MacroPrep High Q ( When your Protein have basic pI and operating at neutral pH) , You can try Ceramic Hydroxy Apatite also.

3. Size based : If your desired protein size less then 5kda then you can try TFF (10kda) in flowthrough (permeate mode), Endotoxin have higher size so endotoxin will retain in retenate and your product will come in flow-through.
