Dear Prof Abhijit and friends, I am busy writing research and have more satisfaction in writing, and in collaborating with several persons on RG, than to be on Q and A. RG provided me with research collaborators. Collaborating means producing more research, and communicating more and more efficiently if you use simple English that's understood by everyone. If you need an ethical collaborator, just let me know.
In researchGate you can do many collaborations with researchers and higher education teachers who can enrich your scientific knowledge and to human relationships also.
You are right, Mohammed Dallel. But I am not always on Q and A, and I know that the busy ethical people I look for are also finding it difficult to get time off for QA. THANKS.
I agree that collaboration is important in advancing knowledge. Publishing findings and interpretations and sharing access to the data on which reports are based is the most effective form of collaboration. After all, to advance scholarship is to stand on the shoulders of the giants who precede us.
ResearchGate is making an important contribution in this regard by using the available IT to links scholars in every field. Surprising to me was discovery of scholars outside of my discipline who have cited my review of meta-analysis. Following them has broadened my understanding of the research which is taking place all over the world in places that our politicians do not engage in friendly discourse.
To me, this is a very important contribution that ResearchGate is making . . . enhancing and promoting good international relationships among the peoples and countries of the world.
I have wondered, and maybe someone can tell me, what is the ResearchGate business model? How is its enterprise financed? Can anyone tell me with details about how much it takes to support the ResearchGate endeavor?
Thank you for the attachment. It's very attractive, with splendid methods. To me,the most effective way of sharing knowledge is through visiting international conferences or seminars with the scientists from all over the world. This material is especially essential, relevant and valuable for the digital generation. We use a lot of factual and demonstrative materials, imparting knowledge more emotionally to our students and colleauges in the cross-cultural context (I even say to my students about cultural program and my new friends).Virtual communication on RG is specific-we are unacquainted, but in the course of time it seems that we are well-acquainted.RG means motivation, resources,a fund of knowledge,a living library, intellectual giants, colleagues for collaboration. I discuss actual problems, articles with my staff, too. There is an informative, textual material for the students. We make films and festivals, using the latest news of international science with my students (Mathematics,Physics,Arts,Cuisine,Cultures,Ecology,Biology,IT) .My students know the names and works of some scientists from RG.They speak English fluently and I think they will be a part of RG soon. Some photos of our team-working projects, where we used materials from RG. 1.Day of Earth (for the junior)2.3.Day of Tolerance(Athens University and our University),4 5."Mysteries of the Queen of all sciencies"6.Will Beauty save our world?7."Concept of friendship in the national communities"(research,VSU).
All the previous answer confirms the importance of collaboration via different means such as workshop, scholarship, seminar and international conferences. Also communication through G are very important for continuity of this collaboration and motivation.
To add to the contact with our graduates, in our case most of them are brand new teachers. I keep in contact by visiting schools where they work and doing exhibits and hands-on demonstrations. This is a bit tricky because after 9/11 visitors to schools need to show a police certificate that you are not a child molester!
Nevertheless, our graduates are grateful for the visit and feel rejuvenated to carry on with their most important task: to motivate their students
You are right.Unfortunately, nowadays it's no easy matter for me to continue my enthusiastic research (Arts and Sciences, starting from the 90-s successfully) on the real international level, which has been very productive for my students and colleagues(the cross-cultural,metacognitive approach),but I believe in the humanistic, genuinely scientific victory of the collective reason, legal freedom and social progress."The present situation is an ontological extrapolation of "a language game",where "proscriptum" prevails, leading to the overwhelming dominance of economic discourse"Lyotard.Virtual collaboration is more acceptable... so far.
My institution requires researchers to improve IF cause many grants from the Ministry of Health take the IF into consideration. So, to publish in IF journals is important to me and I think it is a good way to share researches. However I m happy to say that thanks to RG many students send me mails cause are interesting in the fields I work and I can directly communicate with students.....we are in the digital era.
We are conducting National Research Conference for giving chance to researchers to present their papers and enable them to communicate their researches at right platform.
I have to admit that I'm a 'bit jealous of my job maybe cause I'm still a specialization student... Anyway, I like to explain what I'm doing, to other collegues or university students, but I feel afraid that someone could "steal" my project... Maybe because I'm in Italy...
