I think to use statistical analysis is the best way to conduct research. Statistical analysis will help to select proper data collection methods ad help you effectively present the results. Besides, only statistically significant data are discussed (these are important finding). Without statistical analysis, it will be difficult to separate less important findings from important making the discussion section lengthy and meaningless. In addition, a non-significant data discussed could also mean it will happen by chance. There are ways of presenting non-significant data and discussing them such as using hedging in academic writing. I will recommend using statistics as in my field (agronomy).
First of all, it depends on your project. Statistical analysis can give life to your work. The results could be interpreted with proper statistical tests and validated.

It depends on the researcher i.e. whether s/he likes, trained or have prior positive experience with statistics or not - some likes but on the contrary, some have phobia toward statistics. However, whether to perform statistical analysis or not in your research is depending on your research problem, research objectives, research questions that you try to solve or address. Once these 3 are nailed down, you can choose the relevant research method e.g. quantitative, qualitative or mixed method in which quantitative research usually require the researcher to perform certain statistical analysis.
It depends on the particular research problem under consideration, for example if you are involved in some deterministic/ mechanistic studies the focus lies, in general, on studying the problem within a non stochastic framework.
Stastical analysis is very important in research , because when we used statisc analysis , we try to minimize or avoid error that occurs during the experimental , this depends on the experimental design use in research ( factorial or not factorial)_ factorial means use design suitable only one, but choice design that suitable for more than one factor, thanks
